Building a new home can be stressful and the amount of selections you are required to make by your build team is overwhelming to say the least! The process can be time consuming when you’re faced with making decisions on things you can’t visualise until the build is complete.
Imagine choosing a brick you think you love… then paying a fortune for them only to realise when you see them on your brand new home, you absolutely hate them! That is a costly mistake to replace, most likely you’ll just have to learn to live with the hideous bricks. Who can seriously afford to replace them all, am I right?
Sounds stressful doesn’t it? What if I told you there’s a service out there to avoid all of the stress, costly mistakes and lack of visualisation? ‘Sign me up’ you say? Well this service many interior designers offer… and it’s called 3D rendering. Let me show you what I mean!
3D Render
A 3D render is the perfect way to help you visualise those confusing 2D elevations. We will bring your front facade to life by adding not only dimension but your colour selections as well. This ensures you are happy with your selections and if your not? Don’t stress we can help you make the necessary changes needed to ensure you don’t waste your money on a selection you don’t like. You can make as many changes as you need to get the exterior of your new home perfect before a penny is spent and a brick is laid!
We chose Savannah to provide our clients with 3D renders to assist them with some of the most important choices they will need to make in their new build selection process. Our Clients love the photorealistic renders Savannah provides as they take out the guesswork and provide them with an image of their new home before the slab is even poured.

What’s the Difference?
What’s the difference between a 3D render and a 3D perspective? I’m glad you asked. Basically the process to achieve a 3D perspective starts by producing a 3D model from your plans and adding your colour and material selections to the model which produces a cartoon like imitation of your exterior. But to achieve a 3D render we have to take it one step further and run that model through a rendering program, and in this program we can alter the artificial and natural lighting, the reflection of materials and the way everything in the model reacts to light cast upon it. Basically producing a hyper realistic visual of your proposed home. Neat right?
STEP 1 – 3D model before colour is added
STEP 2 – 3D model with colour added (3D Perspective)
STEP 3 – 3D model with colour added and rendered into a 3D render
What on earth is a 3D walkthrough?
Good question! Have you been looking through the architects plans and wondering.. What the heck? It’s an impossible mission to not only decipher the plans but to imagine the overall dimension and characteristics of your entire home from every angle. I have a solution for you and it’s called a walkthrough animation.
Being able to visualise your new home not only in 3D but also with all of your exact selections inputted into it can be a life saver, ensuring not only that you love how your new home will look but also saves you time second guessing each and everyone of your choices. It also avoids those costly mistakes that are so easily made. You’re not a design professional and for that reason, you shouldn’t be forced into making all these stressful design decisions without some sort of reassurance. I am sure you can see from the images above how investing in a 3D exterior package is well worth your time and money.
